For far too long, MAGA Republicans have tried time and time again to hold our decisions regarding our own bodies hostage, and I'm actively fighting to say enough is enough.
That's why I spent last week collecting signatures for a petition that would allow Floridians to decide to amend the state's constitution to protect access to abortion and contraception.
Because when it comes to why reproductive freedom is so important, Laura, the Executive Director of the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, said it best:
"Abortion is healthcare."

My team and I have been working hard to collect the hundreds of thousands of signatures we need to get this movement off the ground, but this is only half the journey – I want to continue being a strong pro-choice voice for our people in Congress, but the GOP has other ideas.
In 2024, I'll be facing a self-funded opponent from the same party as Ron DeSantis, who just signed a six-week abortion ban into law this year – I have no doubt he's as eager to prove his party loyalty.
John, this is the same opponent whose last race against me was too close for comfort, and I need your help to avoid repeating history.
