John, it’s Keri. My daughter, Bayly, is the 16 year old Chief of Staff of Voters of Tomorrow.
When VOT launched, there was a lot of skepticism. Adults didn’t fully believe that a Gen Z-run organization could be effective at mobilizing voters. But it turns out, no one is better at mobilizing Gen Z voters, than Gen Zers themselves!
Flash forward to today, and VOT’s impact has been huge.
* They’re active on over two hundred college campuses, with plans to double that number.
* Their turnout program empowered Gen Zers to vote in droves in the 2022 midterms.
* Those continued turnout efforts helped block an anti-choice wave from sweeping Virginia this past November.
John, VOT’s success has been possible because adults like me and you put their trust in Gen Z. But Bayly and her team’s work is only possible if adults keep stepping up to invest in future generations’ futures.
