I'm being serious, team: I love a big winter storm.

Between being snowed in, having hot chocolate, watching a few good movies or reading a book – it doesn't get much better than that.

As much as I love this tradition, I have to share with you a thought that occurred to me: our changing climate could take this away from us.

I know it's a bit of a downer to think about, but it's important that we're clear-eyed about climate change's threat to our environment and future generations.

Up to this point, climate change has been one of those 'out of sight, out of mind' issues for so many folks – I get it. But it's important that we have leaders in Congress who are prepared to lead on this issue and prevent the most devastating impacts of climate change.

Warmer winters would just be the beginning of what we'd see under an unmitigated climate change. Unfortunately, too many Republican politicians still aren't convinced of the science behind climate change. That's why we can't risk throwing the Senate Majority into their hands.

I'm ready to fight in the Senate to ensure that we take tangible action to stop the most disastrous effects of climate change – but I need your help.
