John xxxxxx, four years ago today marked the worst
election defeat for Labour since 1935.

Four years since working people up and down our country looked at our party, saw
we had lost our way, and they said ‘no’. Not this time.

Everything I’ve done as leader has been to ensure we never put working people in
that position again.

Four years on, we can now meet voters’ eyes with confidence once again, as the
party that is back in the service of working people.

But with every step we have taken towards a politics that puts the country
first, the Tories have moved in the opposite direction.

We’re all stuck in their psychodrama. While they’re all fighting like rats in a
sack, there’s a country out here that isn’t being governed, a country that needs
leadership.

Public services are crumbling. Six thousand crimes go unpunished every day.
Families are weighed down by the burden of higher mortgages. People who never
before missed a payment in their life are working harder than ever for the wage
in their pocket.

My Labour government will roll our sleeves up and solve these problems
practically.

If we are privileged enough to win the next election, we will give Britain hope
and walk towards national renewal with a new mission.

To get Britain building again. Take back our streets. Switch on Great British
Energy. Get the NHS back on its feet. And tear down the barriers to opportunity.

A Britain where hard work is rewarded, aspiration is backed, communities have
more control and politics serves your interests.

If you think this future for Britain is worth fighting for, I want to ask you to
please consider giving to Labour today, and together, we can deliver a Labour
government. With so much riding on the next general election, we need the
resources to meet the challenge:

Britain can, Britain must, Britain will get its future back.

Thank you,
