It’s no secret that Colorado’s outdoor recreation drives our economy and provides countless chances to enjoy our state’s natural beauty. Truly, outdoor recreation is the Coloradan way of life.

Unfortunately, some politicians in Washington see it differently. They want to see these incredible areas carved up or auctioned off to the highest bidder. They deny the scientific reality of climate change and vote against the protection of invaluable outdoor areas.

This isn’t just negatively impacting our natural habitats — their actions are harming our communities, our economy, and our environment.

As governor, we led the country and passed 'gold standard' environmental protections to protect Colorado’s lands, air, and water. And as your Senator, I’ve fought to take real action on climate change, protect our public lands, and build a just and equitable clean energy economy that works for everyone, not the special interests.
