The House Rules Committee – which decides which bills go to the floor and when – has pulled BOTH bills on warrantless surveillance from the House calendar I’ve been telling you about.

Last night, several Republicans on the committee objected to Speaker Mike Johnson’s scheme to allow the two competing bills onto the floor for a “Queen of the Hill” gamble that could have ended with the passage of Patriot Act 2.0 and an EIGHT YEAR extension of Section 702 of FISA.

H.R. 6570 would rein in the Surveillance State, while H.R. 6611 would greatly expand the Surveillance State’s power to unconstitutionally spy on you, with no meaningful reforms. H.R. 6611 would actually expand the class of businesses and other entities required to assist in the government’s mass surveillance of you and me.


This has become an epic David and Goliath battle, and it’s critical you and I build up our forces and DOUBLE DOWN.

Although the Rules Committee pulled both bills, make no mistake this was a major blow to the Surveillance State’s preferred bill.

This means there will be an all-out campaign to get some dirty deal worked out to get the Surveillance State bill through at the very last minute. The statists aren’t ready to roll over on this and will surely pull out even more dirty tricks.

It is absolutely critical you contact your U.S. Representative at (202) 224-3121 ONCE AGAIN.

Tell your Representative to support H.R. 6570, the Protect Liberty and End Warrantless Surveillance Act, and oppose H.R. 6611, which would renew and even expand unconstitutional surveillance under Section 702 of FISA with NO real reform.

Right now, everything on our privacy under Section 702 is on the line.
