Dear John,
May the peace and blessings of God be with you and your family. To say that it has been a “challenging” year would be an understatement. The war in the Holy Land has brought forth feelings of urgency, concern, and a deep sense of empathy for those affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
Acknowledging the moment we are in, where freedom of expression is increasingly under threat, it is integral to ensure that diverse voices are not stifled. Throughout the years, we have invested considerable time and effort into making positive change and we refuse to take a step back now. However, the road ahead is going to be paved with more challenges. This is a problem not just for Muslims, but for all communities who choose to engage in truth-telling in news and entertainment media.
Support Our Work Amplifying Authentic Narratives ([link removed])
The MPAC Hollywood Bureau remains committed to amplifying authentic Muslim voices and narratives that shed light on human-interest stories.
Through strategic collaborations with industry leaders, filmmakers, and creatives, programming in Film/TV Festivals, Screenwriting Labs & Competitions, fellowships with Film Independent, and consultations, the MPAC Hollywood Bureau has been at the forefront of transformative efforts to bring about authentic and nuanced representations of Muslims in mainstream media.
The work will continue to go on with integrity and passion, and to this end, we invite you to join us on January 21, 2024 in Park City, Utah at the Sundance Film Festival to witness the impact of your generosity firsthand. You will be part of a carefully curated thought-provoking panel discussion, which will serve as a testament to our dedication to influencing positive change. More information on this soon.
Your continued support is not just a financial contribution; it is a powerful endorsement of our shared vision for a more inclusive and empathetic world. Thank you for being an essential part of the Hollywood Bureau's journey.
