John – the Arizona Supreme Court is set to hear arguments on the state's abortion ban this week.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that this case will undoubtedly start an election-year “showdown” over abortion rights in Arizona, and we know that will have dramatic consequences for women seeking health care.
And as the Wall Street Journal noted, nowhere will this issue play out more than in Andrei’s race in Arizona’s First Congressional District. Here’s what they wrote:
“The district is represented by Rep. David Schweikert but has otherwise trended away from the GOP in recent years…Schweikert is seen as one of the most vulnerable Republicans in the country in part because of his antiabortion stance. Schweikert co-sponsored a bill before Roe was overturned that in effect would have banned abortions nationwide.”
We’re gearing up to fight to protect abortion rights for women in Arizona and across the county, but we need your help to do it. Will you chip in to Andrei’s campaign for Congress to help protect reproductive rights and stop partisan extremists like David Schweikert from taking our rights?
