A lot of you have supported and even donated to our campaign to pass a Constitutional amendment on guns. I want you to know that you should expect to see some significantly increased activity on this issue in the new year.
We're putting together the final touches of an organizing plan that will hopefully inspire (or pressure) some local legislatures to introduce and hopefully pass measures calling for that Constitutional amendment.
That was my promise to you, and it's one I intend to deliver on.

So in the face of decades of Congressional inaction and unelected judges that are putting Americans in danger, it is time for citizens to stand up for common sense to protect us against the epidemic of American gun violence.
We are on the right side of history. And when this happens — and it will eventually — know that what you did from the start was a huge part of our success.

Far-right Republicans and the NRA will attack us and do whatever they can to stop our progress in the fight to amend the Constitution on guns.
But the good news is that the people are on our side, the facts are on our side, and if we stick together we are going to get this done and save lives. It may not happen soon, but you have to believe it will happen.
