I hope you will watch today’s community briefing where we gave more details about the Long Beach Unified School District’s closure plans and an overall update about COVID-19 in the City of Long Beach. I was joined by LBUSD Superintendent Chris Steinhauser and Long Beach City Health Officer Dr. Anissa Davis.

The closure of LBUSD follows similar steps taken by Cal State University, Long Beach and Long Beach City College. Our partners throughout Long Beach will continue to work together with our health and medical community to provide as much information at possible.
