This is disgusting. House Republicans are moving forward on a baseless impeachment probe of President Biden, and it's about revenge. Rep. Troy Nehls admitted that it's to give Donald Trump "a little bit of ammo to fire back" at Biden for the presidential race. We expect a vote this week.
And while Republicans only have a 3-vote House majority (after George Santos was expelled), they believe that they can strong-arm every single GOP member to support this charade.
Newt Gingrich even bragged on Fox News that any House Republican who votes against the impeachment probe will get a primary challenge. They think that members of Congress should be more afraid of the MAGA faction than a majority of their own constituents.

At a press conference, House Speaker Mike Johnson recycled conspiracy theories of Hunter Biden and Ukraine, which were thoroughly discredited four years ago during the impeachment probe of Donald Trump. When this point was raised, he ended the press conference.
None of this is about facts. It's about revenge on Democrats trying to impeach Trump.
But this move is not just a political gambit. It sets a dangerous precedent: impeachment should not become the new normal. We must speak out against this dangerous baseless inquiry.
