Breaking news: the National Climate Assessment – a major U.S. climate report released every five years – has been released. It’s no surprise: yes, it’s as bad as we knew it would be. Catastrophic climate change is already directly impacting the daily lives of so many Americans.
We don’t have much time. The United States must significantly decrease fossil fuel use immediately! But we can’t do that without electing politicians who truly understand that our climate is in crisis and will make tackling it a priority.

We’re feeling the effects of the climate crisis in every corner of the U.S. And it will only get worse if we don’t act now to elect climate-aware candidates and stop the use of fossil fuels:
- Costs of food, housing, labor, and health care bills will increase;
- Climate-driven weather disasters will increase and wreak havoc on our economy. The U.S. currently experiences an extreme weather event that costs over $1 billion every three weeks on average;
- We will lose livelihoods and sacred natural treasures;
- Our access to freshwater could become scarce;
- Endangered species' chance of extinction will near;
- Poor people, marginalized communities, and older Americans will be disproportionately impacted.
Electing pro-climate and pro-conservation leaders is the only way we will see results and fulfill our country’s pledge to be a leader in the drive to mitigate the most catastrophic consequences of global warming.
