Nights were loud at four-year-old Liam’s house. Liam saw his dad hurt his mom. All Liam wanted was quiet and calm. When his mom, Jill, fled with him to Doorways’ Safehouse, Liam didn’t talk as much as other kids his age.
Since 2018, the number of survivors and their children who have found safe harbor at Doorways has more than doubled. Last year, more than half of the clients living in our Safehouse were kids like Liam.
