First, I want to wish you and your family safety and security during these uncertain times.
On the election front, the Registrar of Voters is now counting provisional ballots (ballots cast at polling places with which there was some kind of issue regarding voter’s registration or ballot type). There are still approximately 60,000 of these ballots that remain uncounted countywide, and of those, we don't know how many ballots are in the City.
As of 5pm today, we have narrowed Sherman’s lead from 3,063 on election night to 337.
We are hopeful that, if the current trend continues, we will pass Sherman before the final ballots are counted.
What I can tell you, regardless, is that this election is proof that every vote matters. Thank you for trusting me with your vote, for your positive support, and for all the kind words as we await the final tally!
Stay tuned for more results.
Let’s go!
