I'm running for re-election because I love our Commonwealth, cherish its history, and believe that Pennsylvanians deserve a Senator who will fight for their bottom line, not special interests.
The reality is that I'm facing my toughest race yet. I'm up against a mega-millionaire who has the ability to pour millions of dollars into his own campaign, and Mitch McConnell and his GOP allies are ready to dump in hundreds of millions more to flip Pennsylvania red.
The stakes are even higher, because Democrats could lose the Senate majority if Mitch McConnell flips this seat.
I know we can win, but we're going to have to fight for every single vote and stand up against every single dollar of GOP dark money.
Pennsylvania is a Commonwealth both in name and in practice. As Pennsylvanians, we look out for each other and know that we're stronger when we work together, so while asking for donations is probably my least favorite part of the job — it's necessary, friend.
