The COVID-19 pandemic is continuing to spread and impact lives across the country. With countless school districts closing their doors, including recently-announced Chicago Public Schools, families are facing unprecedented challenges. Our early childhood programs in Chicago do so much more than provide children with a quality education. They are places local families rely on for affordable meals, child care, health care and other essential services—and now they need your help.
We must ensure that the children and families in our programs are able to better withstand having their daily lives turned upside down, now and in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, for families living in under-resourced communities, the ability to work remotely or find suitable short-term child care solutions just isn’t possible. Many will be forced to stay home—likely without pay—for the foreseeable future. We need your help—donate now and support Chicago’s children and families.
