PublicSource committed last year to forming better connections with Pittsburgh’s diverse communities through a practice known as asset mapping. We started this effort earlier this year with Wilkinsburg ([link removed]) and, this week, we will start sharing Beechview's strengths in both English ([link removed]) and Spanish ([link removed]) .

Over the last few months, PublicSource employees have worked together to build maps of the people and places creating positive momentum in Beechview, one of Pittsburgh’s rapidly diversifying neighborhoods, with the region’s most concentrated Latino population.

The first story of the project looks at the T’s Red Line and how it is a “lifeline” for Beechview’s Latino community ([link removed]) but can also lack accessibility.
