Friends, Over the last few days, our nation has experienced an upheaval in our daily lives due to coronavirus. The widespread impact on families, school systems, businesses, neighbors, and communities on the margins have been quickly felt across the Commonwealth. School closings, teleworking, and avoiding crowds are important steps to limit the spread of coronavirus. I applaud Governor Northam for declaring a State of Emergency yesterday — we will be led out of this crisis by our state leaders and our public health officials who are rapidly and effectively responding to this moment. I know that we have all been affected by various organizational and institutional responses to this pandemic, and I am thankful for the thought and care that has been invested in ensuring the health and safety of our communities. Whether you’re trying to manage childcare, keep up with your job, or working hard to meet the needs of your family, I want you to know that my team and I are closely monitoring this crisis and continuing to communicate with our state leaders. In the meantime, we hope that you will find these following resources to be helpful:
We will continue to be in touch with you as this situation develops and evolves.
Thank you,
