This weekend, Rob joined San Francisco leaders and community members to
help launch United Playaz’s gun buy-back event to get weapons off our
streets.

Efforts from local violence prevention and youth development organizations
like this are a crucial part of the equation to addressing the gun
violence epidemic in California and beyond.

Rob knows that to find solutions to this public health crisis, it’s going
to take action at every level from our local, state, and federal
governments and organizations. We can’t do it alone — we need each other.

Under Rob’s leadership, the California Department of Justice is defending
our gun laws in court, confiscating illegally held firearms, and cracking
down on untraceable ghost guns. We also released the very first report
from the Office of Gun Violence Prevention this year in our work to
achieve data-driven solutions to prevent gun violence.

As long as Rob is our AG, he will continue to do everything in his power
to save lives and stop the scourge of gun violence in our communities,
state, and country.
