Yesterday, December 10, was the 206th anniversary of Mississippi's statehood. Today is the 207th statehood anniversary of Indiana.
Two other states will also celebrate their anniversaries of statehood this week: Pennsylvania (December 12) and Alabama (December 14).

Thursday: Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates for States, Counties and School Districts
This Thursday, December 14, the Census Bureau will release small area income and poverty estimates for states, counties and school districts.
The new data come from the 2022 Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates program, which provides the only up-to-date, single-year income and poverty statistics for the nation’s 3,143 counties and 13,146 school districts.

New 2018-2022 American Community Survey estimates show that 78.3 percent of the nation age 5 and older spoke only English at home.
Among those that spoke a language other than English, Spanish (61.1 percent), Chinese (5.1 percent), and Tagalog (2.5 percent) were the three most spoken languages at home.
