The GOP is blatantly trying to kick me out of Congress

HER Time PAC

Hey John – I’m Congresswoman Lucy McBath, a proud Democrat representing Georgia’s 7th district. The Georgia state legislature just passed new Congressional maps that redrew my district to be over 20 points Republican. I’m going to ask for your support in fighting back, but first let me tell you my story…

I never thought I’d become an activist, but everything changed when my son Jordan was shot and killed in November 2012.

As a grieving mother, I decided I had to turn my pain into purpose. I began working as an organizer and activist for gun safety organizations and eventually ran for Congress in a district deemed impossible for Democrats to win. So-called “experts” told me not to raise the issue of gun safety reform in Georgia, but I knew my community better.

I’ve become a leading voice on gun violence prevention in Congress, but a recent court ruling has put my reelection into question. The state legislature just passed the new Georgia Congressional maps, and the district I represent is now tilted toward the GOP by +20. Can you please pitch in a $10 donation between myself and HER Time to help me fight back before the judge makes a ruling?

DONATE

You see, my outspokenness on the gun violence epidemic has put a target on my back. The NRA (and the GOP politicians they back) have been attacking me for years. They know I won’t back down, and they’ve done everything they can to force me out of Congress.

My worst fears have unfortunately been confirmed. The GOP has shown they’ll do anything and everything in their power to force me out of the Capitol.

We’ve set a goal of raising $25k in grassroots donations by 12/20 to make sure I’m prepared for what will be a highly contested reelection campaign. John, can I count on you to split a donation between my campaign and HER Time ASAP?
