I hope you’ll join me in supporting this work today. In 1994, I became a legal intern at WCA while in my first year of law school. I got involved because I wanted to work with a powerful organization solving our state’s most pressing environmental challenges. A lot has changed since the 90s, but I continue to volunteer my time and donate to WCA. I support this organization because of its ability to face complex and evolving issues head-on, as WCA pushes for pollution reduction, climate-smart forest management, clean water and air, a thriving democracy, and a racially just future. Whether I’m spending time with family on the Long Beach Peninsula or exploring the rugged areas of the North Cascades, the beauty and vigor of our state recharges and sustains me. WCA works statewide to make sure that everyone has access to healthy ecosystems and communities. No matter where each of us calls home, we are all connected to nature. Everyone benefits when our homes exist in a healthy and safe environment. But healthy natural systems and a thriving, equitable economy don’t just happen. We must work together to secure them for future generations. Now it is your chance to multiply your impact. A gift made to WCA before year end will be doubled. WCA centers racial and environmental justice because the forces that damage the planet also create injustice. Knowing that we have a strong and growing membership powering WCA’s work gives me hope and confidence in our ability to create a future in which both people and nature can thrive. I hope you will join me by making a donation now that turns this hope into a reality. WCA’s track record of success and ability to drive forward your environmental values stems from the support we receive from you. Please join in – a gift now will be doubled and help us meet our matching goal! Thank you, Ken Ken Lederman |
