John,
I just stepped out of a meeting with our team about Save the Children's global response to the new coronavirus outbreak. Because you're such a valuable member of our community, I wanted to give you a quick update:
We're working around the clock to evaluate this pandemic’s impact on the world’s most vulnerable children – as well as its impact on communities experiencing conflict or instability, where the outbreak could overwhelm health systems with already-limited resources.
We're distributing soap, hand sanitizers and other critical supplies to our global health workers around the world. We’re making sure children can continue to learn and receive meals – particularly in our program areas where a lack of connectivity, safe child care and food insecurity are issues. We are also providing tools and tips to keep children healthy and engaged during times out of the classroom.
Everyone is working tirelessly to make sure vulnerable children have the critical support they need as the world grapples with this new outbreak, and these lifesaving efforts are all possible because of your support. If you're able, please make a donation now to support our continued coronavirus response efforts as well as help provide other lifesaving resources to the world's most vulnerable children.
It means so much to be able to count on supporters like you in critical moments like this. Thank you so much.
