If you ever find yourself on Ted Cruz’s official campaign page (and we wouldn’t recommend it), you’ll find he has a section dedicated to his supposed record of “standing up for our soldiers and veterans.”
Ted tries to portray himself as a staunch defender of the military and its veterans. That’s why it was particularly angering to see this photo:
This was taken just after Senate Republicans blocked a bill that would provide critical healthcare to veterans impacted by burn pits that were commonplace in the Middle East.
Ted, as seen from behind, is fist-bumping his fellow Republican senators after the bill failed.
John, not only is this blatant hypocrisy — Ted's vote is having real-world consequences on our brave veterans who deserve top-notch care and leaders who will actually fight on their behalf.
