Hi John,

When you bring people together, there’s no limit to what we can do. As our team’s Senior Director of Campaigns, I’m constantly inspired by the power everyday people like you and me have to create change.

With your support over the past year, Caring Across Generations has seen so much progress for our care movement. We’re just getting started.

Here are just a few of the things we’ve been able to accomplish in the last year alone:

* We saved Medicaid from the impending attacks to pass dangerous work requirements by hosting an online rally with Senator Casey and more than 500 care activists. We also shared personal stories with the White House, delivered 12,000 petition signatures to Congress, and spread awareness with videos on social media.
* During an in-person rally, we delivered almost 100,000 signatures calling for guaranteed paid leave, affordable child care, and accessible in-home care for aging and disabled people to government officials on Capitol Hill to send a powerful message about the care we need!
* We won the White House’s largest executive order on care in history, and President Biden shared a video of our Executive Director Ai-jen Poo on social media.
* We endorsed 20 bills on care. We also advised on four Congressional bills to make sure they better served caregivers and care recipients.
* We worked with 13 partner coalitions on a range of issues from disability and aging to paid leave to child care – because we know change can’t happen when we work alone.

I have something even more impressive to tell you… Everything I mentioned above only outlines our work at the national level. We’ve also been doing work on-the-ground in states like California, Illinois, Michigan, and Georgia to make real change on paid leave, child care, and aging and disability care policy.

I am so inspired by all the work you’ve helped us do. And, with 2024 being an election year, we have even more opportunities to build a powerful legacy. We have big plans for the year ahead, but we can only do it with your support.

Our care movement is people-powered. That means it depends on you, John. Thank you for your passion and for everything you do for care.

With care,

Linda Capato, Jr., Senior Director of Campaigns
