“She's so supportive. She is, like, full of love.” That’s how Kaiden, who is trans, describes his mom Kristen.

All LGBTQ+ young people deserve what Kaiden has: affirmation and love. So, it’s up to us — you, me, Trevor, and our partners — to be the ones to show up for those who don’t have supportive adults in their lives.

Be the one right now by joining Trevor’s Circle of Light donor community with your first gift. Your generosity will fuel Trevor’s 24/7/365 suicide prevention and crisis intervention services and all our work to build a more LGBTQ+ youth-affirming world.

At first, Kristen wasn’t supportive of Kaiden’s transition. “I tried to bring testosterone up. She's like, ‘We’re not going to talk about this right now,’” Kaiden said. But over time, Kristen realized that her son needed her love to be at peace.

That affirmation can be life-saving. When LGBTQ+ young people report feeling accepted by just one adult, their odds of attempting suicide are significantly lower. In many instances, by more than 40% according to Trevor research.

For some of the LGBTQ+ young people who reach out to Trevor, our crisis counselors are the only affirming adults in their lives. Help ensure we’re always at the other end of a call, chat, or text. Make your 2X-multiplied gift right now.

I look forward to welcoming you as one of Trevor’s newest donors!
