Dear John,

Like you, we have been watching with concern as the COVID-19 outbreak continues to spread throughout the world.

As of this moment, Heifer is working in 10 countries dealing with the virus: Bangladesh, Cambodia, India and Nepal in Asia, Ethiopia and Senegal in Africa, and Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico and the United States in the Americas.

Right now, the measures taken to stop the spread have had little effect on our ability to carry out our promise to help families struggling with hunger and poverty. We have instructed country teams to discuss the potential impact of the disease on project communities and to report any changes in operations.

We will continue to work diligently to not let families slip backward.

Though we do not know what the coming hours, days and weeks may hold, we do know your support powers what we do and has kept us going in the face of a growing pandemic.

With you at our side, we are able to feed more, empower more and do more for people around the world.
