Dear friend,
The situation in Gaza could not be more urgent. We are hearing that MPs are receiving unprecedented amounts of letters and emails from their constituents calling for the UK to #StopArmingIsrael and for a #CeasefireNOW. These actions are making a difference.
Working with our partners in Parliament and civil society CAAT has helped to table Early Day Motion (EDM) 177 which
calls on Parliament to immediately suspend all arms export licences to Israel. Email your MP and call on them to sign the motion and end UK arms exports complicity in war crimes in Gaza.
This week, on Tuesday 12th December, Parliament will also debate Arms export licences for sales to Israel. Make your voice heard! Use the letter template below to write to your MP to demand that they take action and
speak out at the debate.
Israel is using UK arms exports in a genocide against the Palestinian people. The UK is complicit in these crimes by supplying these weapons for decades, and by offering political and military support for
Israel to commit the gravest human rights violations with impunity.
UK industry provides 15% of the components in the F35 stealth combat aircraft that are currently being used in the bombardment of Gaza. Since the government was elected in May 2015, CAAT’s research shows that the UK has licenced over £472m worth of arms to Israeli forces. This includes licences covering components for aircraft, helicopters, drones, bombs, missiles, military technology, armoured vehicles, tanks, ammunition, and small arms.
If you need more information please take a look at our newly published supporter briefing:

Two minutes of your time will help to hold Parliament accountable, do not underestimate the impact you can have. Only with all of us acting in solidarity together can we bring an end to this horrific bombardment.
In solidarity and with love,
Katie Advocacy Manager Thank you to everyone who campaigns and supports CAAT, through your time, donations and energy. If you are able and have not done so already please consider donating to CAAT. Every donation allows us to keep campaigning against the horrors of the arms trade. CAAT wouldn’t be here without you.
