When I became Speaker of the House, the first thing I did was sit down with the leadership of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) to discuss the path to growing our majority.

NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson told me that the top open seat in the country is Michigan’s 7th District, and that our top recruit nationally is Tom Barrett, a 22-year U.S. Army veteran, who served in the Iraq War, and logged more than 1,000 hours as a helicopter pilot.

When I read Tom’s background, I knew they were right. He is exactly the kind of common-sense conservative we need in Congress to fight for our traditional values, protect our nation from foreign threats, and focus on the issues that matter to Michigan families. I can’t wait to have him join us and turn this country around from the disastrous policies of Joe Biden and his allies in Congress.

Our majority is down to just three seats and we risk losing it if we don’t win Michigan’s 7th District. Donald Trump won the 7th by 4 percent and new polling shows him leading Joe Biden in Michigan by 5 points.

But the fact is, Tom can’t win without you. And I can’t grow our majority without you.

Tom’s opponent has already raised 50 percent more than Tom, thanks to Gretchen Whitmer and the Lansing lobbyists, who are pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into his campaign.

Tom doesn’t have lobbyists and special interest groups funding him, he has solid conservative Americans like you who care about our country and want to save it from the woke progressives tearing it apart.

December 31st is a critical deadline, and it is important that Tom raise another $300,000 before the end of the year.

I don’t make this ask lightly – I know how tight family finances can be right now. Bidenomics has given us record inflation, record gas prices, record grocery costs, and family take-home pay is at a historic low.
