Patriot,

As early as TOMORROW, the U.S. House of Representatives will vote
on two fundamentally opposite pieces of legislation: one bill
that would rein in the out-of-control Surveillance State . . .

And one bill that would actually expand the Surveillance State's
power to unconstitutionally spy on you with no reforms at all.

In fact, the "FISA Reform and Reauthorization Act of 2023" is
being called Patriot Act 2.0.

House Speaker Mike Johnson has announced he will put up both
bills, and whichever gets more votes will be what they pass along
to the Senate, while the other dies.

Which means it is absolutely critical you contact your
Representative in Congress immediately!

Please call your Representative right now at (202) 224-3121.

Here's a simple message:

This is [your name] from [your city]. I'm calling to tell you to
support H.R. 6570, the Protect Liberty and End Warrantless
Surveillance Act, and vote NO on H.R. 6611, which would renew and
even expand unconstitutional surveillance under Section 702 of
FISA with NO real reform.

This is a black-and-white issue. Section 702 was abused millions
of times by the FBI. The Surveillance State has proven it cannot
follow the Constitution. Support H.R. 6570 but most definitely
not H.R. 6611, the fake-reform bill being pushed by the
Intelligence Community. Vote NO on 6611, no matter what.

If you don't have time to leave a message by phone, you can send
an e-postcard to your representative right now as well.

According to our Capitol sources, members of the House
Intelligence Committee (who are backing that falsely named bill
to expand mass surveillance, H.R. 6611) are going around and
telling offices that the genuine reform bill (H.R. 6570) will
greatly curtail the intelligence community from stopping threats
because they won't be able to act as fast to an impending threat.

This is, of course, just another example of the dishonest scare
tactics the Surveillance State always employs to justify its
unconstitutional schemes.

But House Speaker Mike Johnson has essentially washed his hands
of this issue. He's leaving it up to you and me to whip the votes
to defend our privacy under the Constitution.

This is now a contest between two fundamentally opposite pieces
of legislation: one to restore your liberty; the other to further
destroy it.

Both of which will get a vote this week.

We need EVERY AMERICAN PATRIOT to:

1. Click here to send an e-postcard directive to your
Representative in Congress if you haven't already done so.

2. Call your Representative at (202) 224-3121 and tell him or her
to vote YES on H.R. 6570 and NO on H.R. 6611. (See script above)

3. If at all possible, make an EMERGENCY contribution to Campaign
for Liberty to help us mobilize more patriots THIS WEEK.

Time is very short, but with your support, we can reach even more
people and generate even more calls, emails, and e-postcards to
Congress before it's too late.

Thanks for all you do,

John McCardell
Executive Director
Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty

P.S. It's down to the wire. The vote will be THIS WEEK.

Please send an e-postcard and call your Representative at (202)
224-3121 to tell him or her to vote NO, NO, NO on H.R. 6611, the
Surveillance State Spying bill, and vote YES on H.R. 6570 to
bring meaningful reforms to Section 702 of FISA.
