Governor Parson greeted lobby day participants and shared good news about abortion numbers dropping. John Ashcroft was the recipient of Missouri Right to Life’s “Champion of Life” award at Tuesday’s Pro-Life Action Day in the state Capitol. His keynote address at the noon rally illustrated why he received this award. He talked about the many battles to pass pro-life legislation and his shock and outrage over the violence of abortion. Many of his comments moved the crowd to standing ovations. He stated that of all of his public service positions -- State Auditor, Governor, U.S. Senator and U.S. Attorney General -- none were more important to him than his work to protect unborn children. In his comments on the incongruity of Roe v. Wade with the principals of our country’s founding, he said that “our liberty and freedom are too big for a coffin that small.” He thanked all in attendance for their commitment, their perseverance and their vision saying that “without vision, the people perish; and without people, the vision perishes.” ********** ISSUE OF IMPORTANCE – PLEASE READ ********** When Institutions of Higher Education Collaborate with the Abortion Industry The following two bills have come before the Missouri House and Senate to seek an answer regarding Higher Education Institutions in the State of Missouri that collaborate directly with the abortion industry.
