Stoicism, Prepping, and Survival

When I sat down and read Fabian's article on Stoicism, it all came
together for me.

I'd read about the philosophy before, but the quotes he chose and how
the wisdom relates to prepping and survival, and even to plain old
ordinary hard times, really spoke to me.

I think you'll love this piece on balancing action, mindset, and
spirituality. The ancient philosophy of Stoicism may speak to you the
way it spoke to me.

Please note that this isn't a replacement for your faith. It's merely a
philosophy to help you improve your mindset and handle the things that
come to you in a more beneficial way.

I'm curious: Have you studied Stoicism? Do you find it to be a useful
philosophy? Is it something you could see applying to your preparedness
efforts? Is there another philosophy you find useful?

Tell me your thoughts about it in the comments section.

How to Survive During Dangerous Times
NOW IN PAPERBACK!

We are living in dangerous times.

Crime has escalated in the United States, both crimes of survival and
crimes for the sake of committing them. We're seeing an uptick in
flash mob robberies, random violent attacks, and shooters deciding to
take on a crowd.

There are tensions between members of political parties and enraged
debates about life philosophies. With impending wars occurring, people
are angrily taking sides about that. All of these things could result in
even more violence.

That's why this compilation of articles

about home defense and personal safety is so important. It seems to be a
case of not if but when we find ourselves faced with a hazardous
situation.

No matter who you are, no matter where you are, there are steps you can
take to make yourself safer. This book

compiles the best strategies from the writers at The Organic Prepper
website all in one place, all with one goal: to keep you and your family
safe from harm in a world that is increasingly perilous.

Survival Fitness & Preparedness
with Chris Viggiano

Many times, preppers get so focused on stockpiling survival "things"
that they forget one of the cornerstones of preparedness: their fitness.
In this episode, Brian is talking with Chris Viggiano, owner of  AIM
Human Performance. Chris has a great view of a long-term wellness plan
that everyone can be a part of.

None of our preps mean anything if we don't keep ourselves as healthy
as possible, regardless of physical limitations.
