Hey, John -- it's Mark Kelly.

I understand that today a lot of people are concerned about what the potential spread of COVID-19could mean for them, their jobs, and their families.

Our nation has faced many challenges in our relatively short history. We've experienced war, natural disasters, economic instability -- and yes, pandemic.

Never forget that we are very good at solving hard problems.

We are the country that sent people to the Moon in the 1960s. We cure diseases, we innovate, we rally the world, and we rise to the challenge.

We have the best scientists and medical professionals in the world. The president, Congress, and all of us need to listen to them and give them the resources they need to support Arizona and the other states working to contain the virus.

Testing needs to be widely available and it needs to be free of charge - that's how we're going to fight this problem and keep people safe and healthy.

And Congress needs to act right now to provide support for workers and small business owners who are going to be affected.

In the meantime, all of us need to follow the guidance from the CDC. If you have questions, you can go to coronavirus.gov.

That is a problem we must solve together.

So for now, be kind to each other and stay safe.
