Heritage-Led Coalition Fights for Real Border Security, Senate Listens  

No deal: Last Wednesday, when it looked like the Senate might pass an “emergency” spending bill that included billions for “border control,” Heritage Action for America assembled a coalition to deliver a clear message.  

• The coalition said the groups “are prepared to defeat this ‘deal’ just as we defeated the Gang of Eight bill 10 years ago.” 
• On Thursday, every Republican voted against the spending bill, citing lack of border control measures. 

Biden Wants Open Borders All the Way to Guatemala, Heritage Reveals 

Red-handed: Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei told us that earlier this year he asked Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Secretary of State Antony Blinken for help closing Guatemala’s border with El Salvador and Honduras to close off illegal migration north. Mayorkas and Blinken said no.   

• A senior Guatemalan official told Heritage: “We could only assume that they wanted illegal immigration to continue.” Read the report here.

Despicable: Hardly a stranger to attempts at censorship, the Capitol Hill Pregnancy Center found its location removed from Google Maps, which The Daily Signal’s Mary Margaret Olohan exposed.  

• Only after Olohan called out the removal did Google restore the pregnancy center’s location.  
• The Daily Signal exclusive led Rep. Jerry Carl, R-Ala., to call for an investigation of Google.

Oops: At a recent House hearing on trans athletes in women’s sports, Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, accidentally endorsed Heritage’s state strategy.  

• “The Heritage Foundation loves Texas. … They [are] always sending us some nonsense bills that somehow set this country on the wrong trajectory,” Rep. Crockett said. 
• She went on to call her home state and other conservative states “deplorable.”
