Our Children’s Trust was founded in 2010
on the idea that courts are vital to democracy and empowered to protect our children and the planet.

Without a stable climate system, every natural resource we rely upon to exercise our basic human rights—life, liberty, home, happiness—is under threat.

Today, Julia Olson, Chief Legal Counsel, and Genesis, youth plaintiff, will introduce Our Children’s Trust to a global audience when Article3.org hosts Still We Rise to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Our 2023 Impact Report, Powering Youth Climate Justice, is the story of youth rising to ask prior generations hard questions:

How can fundamental rights mean anything without clean air, water, and land?     What is a human right without a livable planet?
"It became crystal clear that climate change not only exacerbates all the world’s most grave human rights challenges, it also prevents solutions to global crises: conflict, war crimes, involuntary migration, poverty, and global health. This is why I work on climate change.”   Kelly Matheson, Deputy Director, Global Climate Litigation
In celebration of our shared commitment to human rights, we issue a $75,000 challenge.

Funds raised will power youth voices, power litigation, power science, and power democracy.

Double your dollars. Give today and power the path forward.
