Jack, Trump was asked, on national television, if he has any plans to abuse power, to break the law, to use the government to go after people. He rambled on, avoiding to answer. When asked again he said will be a dictator on day one.
Trump has continually told us exactly who he is and what he will do. We need to take him seriously.
Like it or not, the 2024 elections are quickly approaching. The first Republican primary is just six weeks away. Here's the bad news: Trump is leading Biden in key states and on key issues, like the economy. How is this even possible?
Now is the time to start educating, registering, and mobilizing Democratic voters all across the country. Unfortunately, far too many progressive advocacy organizations are financially hurting and don't have the resources to build the infrastructure necessary to win—this includes Daily Kos.
Over the last couple of election cycles, progressive advocacy organizations have shouldered a lot of the work to recruit and support democratic candidates, mobilize volunteers, and drive voter outreach. Now, these same organizations don't have the capital or the manpower to carry out the same level work we need in order to be victorious at the polls.
This is a problem, because Trump returning to office is still a very real threat, and we will need to work just as hard to turn out Democratic votes in 2024 as we did in 2020, when we signed up over 100,000 Get Out the Vote volunteers. That just won't be possible with fewer resources.
Daily Kos is the country's largest progressive news and activism hub. As we head into the 2024 elections, it's not enough for us to survive, we need to thrive in order to beat the dictator-wannabe Trump. Support our work with a donation of $5 right now.
