Let's make one thing clear: The path to the House majority goes through the Deep South.
Louisiana, Georgia, and Alabama are all being ordered to redraw their voting maps because each original map deliberately weakened the voting power of Black residents.
Right now, Republicans are pulling all the stops to maintain their majority — even if that means violating the Voting Rights Act. We know, you know, even they know, that when Democrats have the majority, we get things done and create meaningful progress for all American people.
But maps will only get us so far. We must mobilize Black voters to ensure we get critical turnout numbers and get the representation we deserve.
