It has been an honor and privilege serving as the DLGA chair and I am proud of the work we have been able to accomplish together. As my term as chair comes to a close, I am passing the gavel to my talented colleague Peggy Flanagan, the lieutenant governor of Minnesota!!!

I’m excited to share that Peggy will be the first Native woman to lead a national party organization.

This is a natural step for us: the DLGA represents the most diverse group of statewide elected officials in the country, across gender, race, religion, age, and more. We are proof that when Democrats put forward candidates who truly reflect their communities, we win.

The results speak for themselves. In just the past two years the DLGA has defeated anti-choice politicians and election deniers in Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Kentucky, Colorado, New Mexico, California, Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, Connecticut, and Wisconsin.

The DLGA is bringing diverse leaders to the forefront of the Democratic Party, but we can’t do it without your help. We have a huge End-of-Year Fundraising Deadline coming up on December 31, and we still need to raise another $5,300 to hit our goal. Can we count on you to chip in just $10 today?

It takes all of us investing in electing women and leaders of color to build the Democratic Party we want to see.
