Shift's Newsmaker Interview featured Jennifer Sey, former Levi Strauss & Co. executive and author of "Levi's Unbuttoned: The Woke Mob Took My Job but Gave Me My Voice." Sey, a speaker at the 2024 Roanoke Conference, discussed her concerns about the impact of
distance learning on students' education and social development. In the interview, she shared her experiences from the COVID pandemic, including her fight against activists attempting to silence her concerns and the challenges she faced within Levi's when advocating for reopening public schools.
Sey also previewed her upcoming documentary, "GENERATION COVID," which explores the long-term effects of COVID lockdowns on children. Read more.

backfired, as a former state economist has filed a legal claim alleging retaliation for refusing to conceal the tax's true impact. The 35-year employee claims his career was ruined for refusing to lie about the new state policy, after he did the "6th grade math" showing it would increase pump

This week, Shift alerted our readers to leaked court documents revealing secret negotiations between the Biden Administration, Washington state, and extreme environmental groups to dismantle the four Lower Snake River dams, raising concerns about Eastern
Washington's economy. A Seattle Times report provided detailed information, including a proposal for a Pacific Northwest Tribal Energy Program to replace dam services with "clean, renewable socially-just energy resources." Absent from the negotiations were considerations of "reliability" and
"affordability," suggesting a prioritization of Gov. Inslee and the Democrats' pursuit of "socially-just energy" at the potential expense of taxpayer dollars and higher consumer prices. Read this story and more.
