John,
AIPAC-endorsed members of Congress voted to censure me last month. And this week, they voted to censure another key member of our Squad: Rep. Jamaal Bowman.
For years, the far-right anti-Palestinian group AIPAC has attacked me and Jamaal for standing up for Palestinians’ human rights.
They recently targeted us with attack ads, because we’ve been leading the movement for a ceasefire. As the death toll in Gaza has surpassed 16,000 people—including over 6,000 children—Jamaal and I are still urging Congress and President Biden to value all human life.
Because Jamaal Bowman continues to hold the Israeli and U.S. governments accountable for human rights violations, AIPAC recruited an anti-ceasefire candidate to run against him in 2024.
AIPAC is planning to spend $100 million to undermine our democracy and try to kick me and Jamaal Bowman out of Congress next year. Please donate $5 or more to our campaigns today so we can counter these attacks.
As usual, AIPAC and its network of PACs are targeting progressive Black and brown members of Congress, flooding our working class districts with millions of dollars from far-right donors. They’re attacking us for supporting a ceasefire, even though it’s what a vast majority of Americans want.
Eva Borgwardt, a leader with IfNotNow, a movement of American Jews to end Israeli occupation and apartheid, explained:
“AIPAC is not a Jewish lobby, nor even a pro-Israel lobby. It is primarily a vehicle for Republican billionaires to support the settlement movement and an antidemocratic, far-right vision for both Israel and the U.S.”
I’m proud to serve alongside Jamaal Bowman in Congress. He has taken on the racist and antisemitic “great replacement theory,” and he’s a leader in the push for a multi-racial democracy where all marginalized people can thrive.
Jamaal is denouncing the hate-fueled violence against Jewish Americans, Arab Americans, and Muslim Americans. After Palestinian students were shot in Vermont, he wrote: “Now more than ever we must come together and center peace, love, and our shared humanity.”
Unlike most members of Congress, Jamaal has taken a principled stance against the mass murder of civilians. And this past week he joined me in voting against HR 894, a dangerous resolution conflating anti-Zionism with antisemitism.
Jamaal and I understand that, like all people, Palestinians deserve to live with equal rights, freedom, and human dignity. We are dedicated to equity and justice for all people, and we recognize the value of every single life.
Our voices are critical in Congress, as too many of our colleagues continue to beat the drums of war and vote to send billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to bomb Gaza.
Please chip in today to support our grassroots re-election campaigns, as AIPAC funds attack ads targeting us and plans to spend $100 million in an attempt to defeat us in 2024.

Our movement is growing, and we will not stop demanding human rights for Palestinians and all people. Thank you for being an important part of the work to save lives.
In solidarity,
Rashida

John,
Rep. Jamaal Bowman has been an outspoken leader in the movement for a ceasefire. AIPAC recruited an anti-ceasefire candidate who just announced he’s running against Jamaal in 2024.
And this week, the House voted on a censure resolution against Jamaal. They're trying to distract from the fact they are unable to govern. They are trying to distract from the fact they can’t stop the genocide. They are distracting from the fact they can't pass a budget for the American people.
Jamaal has called out members for doing nothing to stop the gun crisis in our country. Jamaal has called out the U.S. government for being complicit in the mass murder of children and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. And this week he joined me in voting against HR 894, a dangerous resolution conflating anti-Zionism with antisemitism.
Because we’re speaking up for Palestinians’ human rights, AIPAC is funding attack ads against us, and plans to spend $100 million in an attempt to defeat us in next year’s elections.
AIPAC is trying to silence our movement and undermine our democracy. We can’t let this happen. Please chip in today so Rep. Jamaal Bowman and I can withstand their attacks.
Last year, AIPAC and its network of PACs spent $40 million against Black and brown progressives, with most of the funds coming from Republican donors who’ve supported Trump.
An AIPAC spokesperson claimed that Jamaal is part of an “extremist fringe,” but our calls for a ceasefire are in line with the vast majority of Americans—across the political spectrum. The rest of Congress needs to catch up and value all human life.
Jamaal is especially able to humanize Palestinians because he’s visited the West Bank, where he met with my sity (my grandmother).
He was stopped at a military checkpoint near her house, and saw first-hand how Palestinians live in fear under constant military presence. And he connected that to his own experience as a Black man in the U.S. who’s been targeted by police violence.
Jamaal and I know that the struggles for justice and equality are interconnected, from the U.S. to Palestine and beyond. That’s why we continue to take politically courageous stands, despite attempts to silence and intimidate us.
AIPAC is working with far-right Trump donors to interfere in our democracy. They’re targeting candidates of color representing working class districts, who rely on grassroots donations rather than corporate PAC money.
Please help me and Jamaal Bowman counter AIPAC’s attacks by donating $5 or more today.

Thank you for joining me and Jamaal in recognizing our shared humanity. We will continue speaking up to save lives—no matter people’s faith or ethnicity.
In solidarity,
Rashida
