We have some big news for Pennsylvania.
Thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, we are on our way to restoring rail service between Scranton and New York, allowing Pennsylvanians to travel quickly and conveniently. I fought for this my entire career, and I'm proud to have secured critical investments that will move regular service along this corridor closer to reality.
This is about more than trains — it could bring up to $84 million a year in economic activity and jobs to the region. Along with other important railroad investments to improve travel between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and open a corridor between Philadelphia and Reading, there will be important impacts on the economy and jobs all over Pennsylvania.
This didn't happen overnight. This announcement is the result of over 15 years of work, and I'm proud to have advocated for this game-changing investment for our communities.
I'll continue fighting for investments like this for our Commonwealth, and I'll keep pushing this project forward — but I'll need your help to keep making progress in the Senate. Can you chip in to our re-election campaign today?
I've taken a lot of early morning and late night trains back and forth from Washington throughout my time in the Senate. I know how critical our railways can be to connect people with jobs, education, and much more.
Reconnecting my hometown of Scranton — the best city in the world — with a massive economic center like New York is long overdue.
These kinds of economic investments take time and dedication to secure for Pennsylvania families. I'll always fight for our Commonwealth in the U.S. Senate, and I'd be honored to have your support to continue that work.
