John – since the beginning of the year, there’s been over 630 mass shootings. It is clear, and has been for a while now, that we have a major problem with gun violence in the United States. Because of this, President Joe Biden has called on an assault weapons ban. This would ban assault-style rifles, such as the AR-15, that have been used in mass shootings for the past 20 years. But Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson has yet to bring an assault weapons ban up for a vote, even in light of the growing number of mass shootings nationwide. That’s why we need everyone to sign on and DEMAND Congress take action before midnight tonight!
