John --
Both Donald Trump and Mike were active on Twitter this week -- but there was a big difference in what they shared.
On Monday, Mike posted that he's pledging $2 million to help register 500,000 African American voters in eight key states and push back on voter suppression. The next day, Mike jumped on Twitter to share an initiative that will help mayors and local governments connect with experts to manage responses to the coronavirus outbreak. Yesterday, Mike tweeted about another pledge of $500,000 to help register Latino voters and get them to the polls.
What did Donald Trump tweet this week? With Americans concerned for their health and livelihoods, the president complained about the media, attacked Democrats, and shared a manipulated video.
When the president finally got off Twitter to speak with the American people about coronavirus, his Oval Office address was riddled with inaccuracies, offered few reassuring solutions, and sent markets tumbling with a lack of confidence in American leadership.
It has never been more important that we come together, get our country back on track, and put a real leader in the White House. That's going to take action -- not just talk and tweets.
We're not staying on the sidelines. And neither should you. Can you make sure we have your most up-to-date information so that we can stay in touch and keep this work going?
