Once again, the anti-Israel bias at the United Nations is on full display. First, U.N. Women, which is supposed to champion women’s rights around the world, was dead silent for almost two months about the horrific abuses Hamas inflicted on Israeli women.
Only after being publicly called out by a bipartisan group of more than 80 members of Congress did they finally make a statement — and even that didn’t go far. U.N. Women’s behavior is truly shameful: It seems when the victims are Israeli, they simply don’t care.
And that’s not all. The U.N. agency that operates in Gaza, UNRWA, is even worse. After Hamas’ barbaric massacre, UNRWA staff celebrated the attack on Facebook. For years, UNRWA staff have embraced hatred and terrorism, and UNRWA schools have taught this extremism to Palestinian children.
In fact, one of the Hamas commanders who masterminded the October 7th massacre was educated in an UNRWA school.
And now, there are reports that one of the civilians taken hostage by Hamas was held captive in the attic of an UNRWA teacher, without medical treatment and with barely any food!
Why is the U.N. silent about Hamas’ war crimes? Why are they enabling hatred and terrorism?
It’s time the United States does something about the disgusting behavior at the U.N. AIPAC is working with pro-Israel leaders in Congress to help hold the U.N. accountable.
