Lesko Meetings

It was great meeting with the National Lifeline Association to discuss ways in which Congress can assist them in their mission to provide the best internet access possible to rural and low-income communities.

This week, I had the opportunity to meet with Gore Medical to discuss ways Congress can continue to help the healthcare industry to ensure patients and their families can receive the best outcomes possible. Their facility is a valued part of our district.

Lesko in the News

The moral decay we have seen in this country and the rising antisemitism is absolutely appalling. Listen to my thoughts on this, things happening in Congress, and more with Todd Starnes.

Do we live in communist China? This is madness! I am fully in support of the CARS Act, which will empower consumer choice and stop the Biden Administration from ruining the American automotive industry with their radical climate agenda. I was so pleased to see this bill pass the House this week!

Lesko in Committee

Biden’s radical climate agenda is running full speed ahead at the EPA, meanwhile American independent oil and gas companies may be harmed in the process. Listen to my remarks on this and more at the Energy and Commerce Committee’s Energy Subcommittee below.

Allowing union priorities to take precedence over the NTIA’s mission would be doing a disservice to the millions of Americans living in underserved parts of the country without access to broadband technology. See my remarks on this at the Energy and Commerce Committee’s Communications and Technology Subcommittee.

I'm excited that my Hands Off Our Home Appliances bill passed out of committee! My commonsense bill will stop the Biden Administration from banning popular appliances, furnaces, and water heaters, will ensure the appliances actually work, and will retain consumer choice!

We should be taking steps to improve the efficiency of every government agency. I’m pleased that my bill to encourage innovation at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission was included in the Atomic Energy Advancement Act which was passed out of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

GET THE FACTS: Border Crisis

President Biden has recently claimed he is willing to ‘compromise’ with Republicans on the southern border, but the situation he has gotten us in is too far gone for compromise. In Fiscal Year 2023, there were more than 2.5 million encounters at the southern border, not including gotaways, compared to the 450,000 encounters in Fiscal Year 2020 under President Trump. To put that 2.5 million in perspective, Houston, TX has a population of 2.3 million; meaning there have been more migrants crossing our border in just one year than the entire population of Houston. So no, we cannot compromise on this issue. It has clearly gotten too far out of hand and we cannot compromise on the safety and security of the American people.
