Friend, I believe this with my entire being: 

The right to vote is fundamental to American democracy, and every American deserves to have their voice heard at the ballot box. 

As a former civil rights attorney, it’s incredibly sad to me that many of my colleagues — and my 2024 opponents — don’t seem to agree.

Republican efforts to subvert the right to vote are a stain on our nation. 

That’s why I introduced the Freedom to Vote Act, voting rights legislation to improve access to the ballot for Americans, advance common-sense federal election standards and campaign finance reform, and protect American democracy.

This legislation will serve to better our democracy, strengthen our country, and improve the lives of all Americans.

Today, will you join me in calling on Congress to PASS the Freedom to Vote Act by adding your name?

The Freedom to Vote Act includes provisions that would require states to offer same-day registration, require election officials to notify a voter before removing them from the rolls and require states to establish a system to automatically register eligible voters when they turn 18. 

This will make it easier for Americans to make their voices heard at the ballot box — and who wouldn’t want that?

When our democracy is stronger — when more voters have a chance to participate — everyone is better off. That’s what a democracy is, folks.

So please add your name to my petition today calling on Congress to pass the Freedom to Vote Act. Congress needs to hear your voice today.
