We are in unprecedented and extraordinarily trying times. Like you, we are struggling to absorb all of the information coming our way. We are concerned about friends, family, neighbors, and loved ones. We are navigating postponed events, closed schools, volatile financial markets, and empty grocery store shelves.

But it is also during this time that we are reminded of our shared values: that all members of our community are of value; that health care is a human right and should be both accessible and affordable; that a strong economy should work for all people, not just those at the top; and that a strong social safety net supports and lifts us all up.

Our work at the Maine Dems is focused on promoting those values by working to elect Democrats up and down the ticket. The events we are living through make this work even more necessary and important.

As part of our work, we often ask you to contribute to our efforts. We do this because our work relies on donors -- the vast majority of which are small donors -- to advance our mission. We’re preparing contingency plans should it become necessary to make our field program fully virtual so we can stay engaged and not lose sight of our mission, while ensuring everyone is as safe as possible. We are committed to our mission, especially in this challenging time. That is why our fundraising program will continue. Please know that we value each and every donation, and we pledge that each dollar will be used as efficiently as possible to advance Democratic values and elect Democratic candidates.
