DEC. 9 FINANCE DIRECTOR REPORT

As we approach the end of 2023, our team has been meeting regularly to evaluate how we did this year, and where we need to improve next cycle.

In 2023, we successfully stopped MAGA extremists from taking over the Governor and Lt. Governor’s offices in Kentucky.

In 2024, we have top priority races — from races for Lt. Governor of North Carolina, Washington, and Delaware — that need our support.

Improvement areas: We’re an official branch of the Democratic Party, but as a newer organization, we don’t have the resources of more established groups. Our wins this year prove the DLGA may be small, but we’re scrappy. We can accomplish more with less by strategically targeting our investments — but with significantly more races that need our help this cycle, we have to focus on recruiting more grassroots donors .

The fact is we need you on our team. We have set a goal of raising $10,000 before our major End-of-Year Fundraising Deadline on December 31 so we can help our Democratic candidates in these key states win in 2024, but it all depends on you believing in us and chipping in.
