Women and girls are especially vulnerable as the crisis worsens.

We have urgent updates out of Gaza:

The humanitarian pause in Gaza has expired, and women and girls are especially vulnerable as the crisis worsens.

But thanks to your support, UNFPA is still delivering lifesaving care where it’s needed most:

  1. UNFPA has thus far delivered five truckloads of reproductive health kits, containing pharmaceuticals, equipment and supplies for emergency obstetric and neonatal care. This includes anesthetics for use during C-sections.

  2. Over the past two weeks, UNFPA has deployed ten midwives, each equipped with specialized midwifery kits, to provide crucial support to pregnant women in shelters in the southern Gaza Strip.

  3. We’re simultaneously distributing 8,600 individual clean delivery kits. These kits are allocated to enhance hygienic conditions during births, wherever they may occur, and are provided directly to pregnant women.

But humanitarian needs are growing exponentially as Gaza plunges into crisis, so your emergency gifts are urgently needed — especially with winter approaching in Gaza and the weather getting colder.

Your gift will be 2x-MATCHED before the end of the year thanks to generous donors, so you have the opportunity to make double the impact today.

Will you make an emergency humanitarian gift today to support women and girls surviving this crisis and crises around the world? Your gifts are delivering lifesaving care, kits, and resources to those who need it most.

MAKE AN EMERGENCY GIFT

UNFPA deeply regrets the end of the humanitarian pause in Gaza. We condemn the violence in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank, including all sexual violence against women, and echo the UN Secretary-General’s call for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire and for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas.

Thank you for remaining committed to standing with every woman and girl, no matter what.
