Dear John,

Now more than ever, it is crucial for the American Muslim narrative on Jerusalem and Palestine to be amplified as we unite around the globe in support of an end to violence and occupation in the region.
We invite you to attend an informative teach-in on Sunday, December 17 at 12 p.m. PT at All Saints Church in Pasadena, CA.

Join us as we explore the social understanding, political authority, and religious freedom that existed under Islamic rule from the 8th century until the 19th century, when political Zionism began its effort through Western powers to create a Jewish state in Palestine. An understanding of the Islamic narrative to the discourse is important for effecting peacemaking efforts, both within the interfaith community and among our decision-makers.

Panelists will include:
  • Munir Shaikh, Bayan Claremont, Early Islamic history of Jerusalem/Palestine
  • Fayez Hammad, USC, Ottoman Palestine
  • Dr. Eba Hathout, Hassan Hathout Foundation, 1948 - A Story of Freedom and Islamic Obligation for Palestine
  • Dr. Laila Al-Marayati, Kinder USA, Reflections on a Journey to Jerusalem and Dissent - US Commission on International Religious Freedom
  • Moderated by: Salam Al-Marayati, MPAC President

Register here to attend. For those that cannot attend in person, a live-stream will be available.

This year-end campaign has come at a critical time in our struggle for Palestine and against Islamophobia. Can we count on your contribution of $350? Help us reach our $100,000 goal before 2024! Your support empowers education and understanding.
